All sizes ranging from $1-$15! A great place to grab your Jack-o-Lantern pumpkin after a mad-crazy costume shopping at Party city. Kinda like what I did!

A Mom and Mini-Me Walk in honor of Avon Walk Breast Cancer Awareness Event
Last time, I said "Just drink Coffee!" as part of my 5 No-Brainer ways to help show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as a practical alternative from one's inability to do the walk or run, on well-attended events hosted by two infamous organizations every year: Avon Walk { happening today at uptown Charlotte} and Susan G. Komen. It was, and still is, a brilliant idea, but sometimes, you just have to walk the walk...

Cooking in America: The Peril of Instant Food
Growing up in Asia, instant food is a rarity or close to never as primary meal options served on the dining table. Meals are usually prepared from fresh ingredients. Home-cooking at it's best. That's what I'm used to and I'm good with that but when it comes to baking, I'm an epic fail - yes, just like the fail whale! But call it my my luck {?}, I was recently "introduced" to these nifty, ready to bake products in canisters to liberate me from this handicap. Baking-dummy-me, immediately took a liking. They are no mess, no kneading-prepping-needed goodness! I'm hooked. I'm in 7th heaven. Finally, to bake with success! Instant bake. Instant Food. BUT there's a catch... just because it's easy, it doesn't mean it can't be scary and dangerous...
A few of my favorites with relatively good ingredients:

Geek Gadgets: Nokia 3G Booklet Video Review
For 6 very intensive years, I have worked for one of the top wireless telecommunications company in the Philippines where I developed a great love, not just for technology and wireless gadgetry, but more specifically for the brand, Nokia! A brand I've come to trust and proud to have. Needless to say, I keep a vast collection of this brand from phones to tablets. And why Nokia? Simple. Nokia, for me, is the only brand that carries sophisticated products that satisfies the geek in me! With this being said, I was recently asked to test out Nokia's new 3G Booklet which was sent to me all the way from London! I was beyond excitement...

Why Do You Go To Conferences? The Pawsome Chief Exec Bear Maxine Clark Answers!
It was at a conference that I first met Maxine Clark, the beary pawsome Chief Exec Bear of Build-A-Bear Workshop, in person, at the 1st Disney Social Media Moms in Florida early this year. She was truly a genuine person. So down-to-earth. Not surprisingly, I loved her that very day I met her... This past Summer, I had the privilege of seeing her again during the workshop hosted by her company in Missouri. And just recently, I got to see her yet again at the Type A Mom conference held in Asheville NC.

Can't Walk Can't Run? Just drink Coffee! - 5 No-Brainer Ways to Show Support for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It's October and you know what that entails. It's Breast Cancer Awareness month! Which means, that everywhere you look, you'll see a proliferation of that familiar pink ribbon not just on TV, in-store decors, print ads but moreso on product labels. A time where the world unites to help support organizations in finding a cure to that deadly disease: cancer. It's also that time where everyone, including me, wants to do something to show our support for the cause, most common is participating in a walk or a run. But if you're like me, can't walk, can't run - due to lack of proper training - or simply don't have the time to or downright not physically fit, what then can you do? I came up with 5 simple solutions!

Confession of a Hitchhiker - My Life with One Car In A Two-Car World {10/10/10 Tribute Post }
After my recent adventure in Asheville NC, I knew it was time to confess... Only a few people know my real situation. Some knew out of necessity. Some were told. Some just simply know. And some of those who know just doesn't know how to act around me... I even think I made some very uncomfortable just by knowing the truth...

Disney on Ice Toy Story 3 - Ken Gave Comedy A Run For It's Money!
Disney on Ice, a production of Feld Entertainment is featuring Toy Story 3 this year. I have seen the movie version of Toy Story 3 and knowing how the original story goes, I went to see Disney on Ice unset with high expectations. I rather wondered how Feld Entertainment have successfully replicated the movie to bring it to life on the ice to a level of performance that will still wow the audiences!

The Different Faces of a Type A Mom: Real Women from All Walks of Life
I will admit, I had a bad case of women-watching at Type A Mom conference which was held in the scenic town of Asheville NC! Yes, bad case if you consider watching 400+ of 'em all. Like a nasty cold it was unrelenting. And why not?! It can't be helped. Too many wonderful women cocooned in one place and in a very beautiful and panoramic setting. It just leaves you with that feeling of awe to see a melding of different personalities, different styles, different fashion sense but all are the same - simply fabulous and all so real!

Sassiness - The 5-8 Year Old Phenomena
I was recently at a 4-day conference in Asheville NC where attendees were predominantly charged-up Estrogens, PMS'er and pre or post menopausals with a dash of brave testosterones on the side, who of course has one thing in common -besides being hormonal- Kids! Strangely though, it appeared that moms with 6 year old daughters like me has an uncanny similarity : the case of Sassiness!

Skyping In The Bathroom - How Skype Saved The Day {or Night }
Being away from the family especially from the kids sometimes bear a mild bout of separation anxiety. Not necessarily common in older kids but it oftentimes affects them when parents go away for a longer period of time and they're not use to that. A thing that happened to me last week as I was away for 4 days on a conference for Type-A Mom. So far, the longest I've ever been away. My 6-year old felt the void at the second night. She misses "Mama" and wants to see her right there and then. The poor girl is inconsolable and was already crying and bawling her eyes out. Papa was helpless. What does a mom to do in situations like these? Hello Skype!

Life As We Know It - A Film Review
Katherine Heigl was one of my favorite actress at the now defunct TV show Roswell. Back then I wondered why she was not given the lead role since she has so much potential as an actress. Fast forward, she is now one of the film and TV industry's famous actresses which is not surprising. It was certainly a treat getting an exclusive invite to watch her new movie "Life As We Know It" alongside Josh Duhamel {Hello Fergie!} during it's advanced screening in one of the local theaters here in Charlotte NC. Here's a rundown.The Story:
It revolves around two clueless single adults forced into parenting duty when their mutual friends died in an accident leaving them to care for their late friends' orphaned baby girl.
