First Live Radio Interview
A wonderful Mompreneur moment!
I was recently invited as a guest to Coach Lynn Johnson's live Radio show to talk about NOT being a professional blogger but at being a Mompreneur (for those who doesn't know, I'm also the co-founding partner of Lake Norman Tai Chi Center). One that I was quite happy to oblige to in spite of my first-time fear and jitters! Somehow it turned out quite pleasant and fun, if I must say so! I actually enjoyed the whole experience.

Danced like a Star with Louis Van Amstel of Dancing With the Stars!
Me and Louis Van Amstel at his Lablast Workout Class
at Canyon Ranch in Tucson.
at Canyon Ranch in Tucson.
A lot of people had been waiting for this post, so here it is! I'll start with saying, I love to dance. I can dance { well, that's what I kept telling myself anyway } but I tell you now, I'm most certainly NOT a trained dancer so, don't expect me to wow Carrie Ann Inaba or minutely impress Bruno Tonioli, worst, it might just annoy the wits out of Len Goodman if he sees my own rendition of booty shakin'! Yet, dancer or no dancer, one thing's for sure! I had the privilege of experiencing, first-hand, a Dancing with the Stars treatment - without the dramas or mean judges - but a great dance workout with Louis Van Amstel in person!

As a working Mom with little to no time in hands and always on the go, preparing a decent and nutritious meal is always a challenge. Meeting Jackie Newgent, Author of Big Green Cook Book during the Soyjoy Breakfast event in New York City last year where I was invited was definitely a treat! I asked her to share some tips that Moms on the go like me can utilize to make meal preparation a breeze while still being nutritious!

The Science behind Cocoa ~ An Interview with Dr. Amy Preston of Hershey's for Eat.Think.Smile
During the launch party of Eat Think Smile at my house, I had the privilege to meet Dr. Amy Preston, Senior Nutrition Scientist of Hershey's who presented the difference between natural cocoa ~ primary ingredient of Eat.Think.Smile ~ and one that is dutched. The video below with Dr. Preston explains the process and the great benefits of using natural cocoa.
For someone like me who reads the ingredients of certain products before buying them, learning about dutched cocoa also known as alkalized cocoa makes for a wiser choice in buying cocoa-based food products. Luckily, Eat.Think.Smile already have this in mine. Great food for your thought if you ask me.

Why Do You Go To Conferences? The Pawsome Chief Exec Bear Maxine Clark Answers!
It was at a conference that I first met Maxine Clark, the beary pawsome Chief Exec Bear of Build-A-Bear Workshop, in person, at the 1st Disney Social Media Moms in Florida early this year. She was truly a genuine person. So down-to-earth. Not surprisingly, I loved her that very day I met her... This past Summer, I had the privilege of seeing her again during the workshop hosted by her company in Missouri. And just recently, I got to see her yet again at the Type A Mom conference held in Asheville NC.
