We All Fall Down - Goodbye Summer!

"We all Fall down!" That I bet is what most of the leaves are saying now. The huge tree in my front yard has started to change color and it's branches has begun the yearly ritual of slowly shedding it's multitude of leaves! Which lucky for me, makes for a great subject for fall pictures especially when they do this!
I love it when a leaf sticks on my car window like this one on
an early rainy day like today

Bug-A-Boo party with the new Hex Bug Nano

Just last week, I was blabbering about how the toys of today makes me feel rather antique yet that doesn't dissuade my ever-insatiably-hungry-for-anything-geeky geek self of mine in exploring anything that has "for geeks" written all over it even it be toys. And no. Still not the kind of toys you have in mind right now! Instead I was provided with the new robotic creature from Hex Bug Nano and a kit to host a party!

Play-Doh Creations 3D Flash Art Review

If there is one thing that constantly evolves with a growing child, besides their fashion sense and clothes, I'll bet my button dollar, it's the toys! Though I'm sure you'll quote me on a different topic involving toys- but, nah, let's not go there, alright?

As a mom, who was a child once, the toys of today's children is far beyond what us, their parents, have when we were younger. It's clearly a far cry in every aspect and very technologically vast in make! Seriously, doesn't these toys just make you feel...{ inconsequentially, unwittingly and proverbially saying antiquely } old...old? { no, you didn't hear me say that O word? }

I scream for Breyer's Ice Cream and a Recipe

Summer is almost gone. Leaves are starting to change, BUT, that doesn't stop me from eating one of my favorite dessert food - Ice Cream! Ignoring my better self not to indulge in this dairy haven because it makes me go kaboom but who can resist? Not when Breyer's Ice Cream seduced me with a bucketful of fun made for a wonderful Sundae day!
So kaboom it is, my family and I indulged ourselves and created a, what I call, a brilliant masterpiece of a sundae, sundae! It would have been nice if it was made on a Sunday but it's not. Today is a Tuesday!

Math in Parenting: Using the power of Subtraction

I'm not your so-called traditional parent. Meaning, my parenting skills are not based on any parenting textbook or guidebook - never a fan of those - nor influenced by the culturally-guided olden, antiqued ways of parenting my parents have imposed on me { or the lack thereof } when I was growing up. I always believed in individuality. Yes, parenting skills are not natural-borne traits but our parental instincts do - most of us are blessed with it and yet some don't - but we do learn...differently.

New Barbie: A fashion Fairytale DVD Review

Growing up in Asia, Barbie was the epitome of the ultimate American doll. To say she was famous was an understatement. She was THE doll! Famous as she is, I was not the Barbie doll-loving kind of girl growing up but my daughter is. And to give you a little visual idea how much...she screamed like a banshee as soon as she saw this DVD! - Yes, them kind of girls that break your eardrums... I think she screamed more than when I got the two new Strawberry shortcake DVD movies last week {which is by the way an ongoing giveaway}.

Simply Water! - Activeion Ionator HOM™ Review

If you are a mom like me who despises chemicals on all the cleaning products we have out in the market today, wouldn't you be thrilled if you find one that actually uses just water to help do the filthy work around your house with you? I don't know about you, but I would definitely give it a try!

New Water Pik Easy Select with Opti-Flow Shower head Review

I remember the times when showering was a "luxury" {this was post-baby} and to have the freedom to enjoy them now is one thing especially when you're physically stressed. A shower head with "special" settings can usually do some good.

Bag it Forward with Elmer's and Adopt-A-Clasroom Program

I never was or is a big fan of meme {no explanation needed here} and you won't catch me cold doing one too. But for once, I'm doing one right now. Why? It's for a good cause!

And though I'm not a Walmart Shopper, I like that they've partnered with Elmer's to help support classrooms across America and Elmer's being one of the products we personally use at home, this meme became an instant winner on my list!
"We know how much our public schools need our support. My daughter is now in Grade I and like last school year, we have to buy supplies NOT just for her but additional extras for her classroom to help out her teacher and her classroom as well."
