LikeWear Children's Clothing Review and $50 GC Giveaway

According to Random.org our winner is Number 14. Congratulations to Brenda! Thank you to all who joined. Watch out for the next giveaway coming up soon.

See that kid? Yup that kid right up there. Well, that's my little Shaolin sidekick showing off her perfect Ma' bu (horse stance) and her new outfit that spells her inner persona (according to her!).

We all know that kids develop their own sense of style early on. Say about as early as three (3)! Yep, they dictate what they want to wear and if you disagree, expect hell to ensue after! My little sidekick is no different. She's got her own distinct fashion sense and yep, she's my little pop star, rock star, Kung Fu Star, whatever star and all the stars in between! And most of all, she wears what she likes!

A Fling with Spring

I love Spring. I hate Spring. Did you hear me say that in the same breath? Truth is, I have no personal enmity against Spring but my ever-so sensitive flat Asian nose does! Spring = Pollen. My nose hates pollen with a passion and pollen hates my nose back with the same intensity. Just ask my poor nose. She'll tell ya!

No, I certainly do not intend to talk about nose and snot. The fact is, last Saturday my fabulous bloggy friend Towanda who was also an awesome travel buddy once, invited this overly pollinated gal and her sidekicks to her Spring Planting Party. Even though this gal's nose is threatening to explode on her like a suicide bomber, she went! What I'm trying to say is, pollen can't stop this gal from partying! It was a total blast! - Just ask my nose.

A Green Pledge for Earth Day

If there's anything else that matters to me besides my family, finances and life itself, it is the kind of future my daughter will have. April 22 is Earth day and it makes me think about what I've done so far to help preserve our dying planet for her. It brings shivers to my entire body just thinking what with all the trash and toxic we throw at Mother Earth that there may not be enough left for her to enjoy or see when she's older. Doesn't it just scare you? Horror movies don't scare me, this does.

For anyone who works - at home or at a corporate setting - we all have an office supply that  we can't do without. Call it obsession, addiction but really, without them, it's a huge organizational chaos! Can you guess, what my secret tool of the trade is?

CSN Stores Duffle bag Review and Tote Bag Giveaway

UPDATE: Our winner via Random.org is number 42!
Congratulations to Sarah from Ohio!
Thanks everyone for playing in this giveaway. Watch out for more!

I'm a seasoned traveler and with the arrival of Conference Season and my active participation this year, I found myself traveling a lot more. This of course, puts a toll on my old, well-traveled bag which ripped during my last trip to Disney Social Media Mom Conference in February. Sad to say, it's now retired for good.

Top 5 Reasons to go to Social Media Conferences and Why YOU should go too!

Conference Season is here and all these conferences are swirling around my head like little birds chirping wildly for attention! Yes, I want to go to each one of them! Why?!

Well, when I started blogging, I was oblivious to what goes on around blogosphere. Call me clueless! At that time, my focus was just on one thing: mastering the art of blogging. Which to this date, sadly, I still have not! I spent most of my time building a relationship with my blog because back then, it was all I know. I was blind to the rest of what wonderful things blogosphere has to offer.

In Denial. With the little knowledge I knew then, I took in a misguided concept that my blog will survive on it's own without outside influence. Thus my sphere of influence was limited solely within my blog and the few people I've met along the way. Social Media Networking sites, Conferences and bloggy events made no sense to me at all. I thought I can do without them...

Ultimate Blog Party - Zen diversity

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

"Kumusta Ultimate Blog Party Peeps! Tuloy kayo sa munting bahay namin (Welcome to our humble little house)" - this is our customary greeting in the Philippines to visitors coming to visit us in our home, which is where I was born and raised.

This is my 1st Ultimate Blog Party and I'm having the 1st-timer party jitters! Well, I hope you'll enjoy your visit in my little spot in the w.w.w. nonetheless. So please take off your shoes, come in, stay a while and let's chat over green tea or Coffee perhaps?

Now in my attempt to be a good host, I'll right away spare you the pain of trying to pronounce my name. Yep, no one can pronounce my name or spell it properly. How odd! But here is an easy way to. It's like Merry Christmas without the "mas". Simple right? Sound it out : "Maricris" and you've just said my name correctly. That wasn't difficult was it? :) Now please don't forget to introduce yourself via comments before you leave, okidoki?!

Window to My World Wednesday: North CarolinaPollenication!

My car each given day. Covered with "Gold Dust"

This is how bad pollen is in North Carolina right now. And for allergy-sufferers like me, it's real BAD NEWS! With all the wacky weather we were having lately, even mother nature is confused and so are the plants and trees.

Six years ago... I almost died...But it's All Worth it!

Six years ago...I was in a hospital bed fighting for my life. There was enough blood lost and with my anemia, it was enough to threaten the very essence of my survival. But it was worth it... bringing a bundle of joy to this world and holding her close to my weakening body at that very first moment was all worth it. So in the midst of pain, weakness, and several bloody IV needles that shot through my veins and scarred my arms forever as doctors and nurses scurried to save me by pumping me with blood transfusions, I can only think of one thing:  how blessed I was  to have this sleeping little angel cradled in the nook of my beaten arm...
