Why My Cup is always Half-full and Not Half-Empty

It was about 1:00 am when we finally pulled into my driveway this morning after a long - when I say long, think 15 hour straight drive - from Missouri. We (hubby, I and little girl) were half-dazed, half-awake and at the verge of crashing down the ground asleep but painstakingly managed to drag ourselves and our loads into the house. It did not dawn on me that we were finally home until the little girl went about her usual "I-feel-odd-being-home-comfort-me-mode" and made the night, should I say, a bit more interesting! To two tired parents, that just simply translates to a "long annoying night! Or to us "morning"... Ah, life never ceases to surprise.

After the drama dissipated, my weary, tired self finally crashed and went to slumber. As the Sandman gently rock me to sleep, my thoughts wandered off to the two days past at Build A Bear Workshop Conference, specifically at the time we were leaving the hotel while we were packing the luggage cart - I casually stated "why is it that we always go home with more whenever we go somewhere?" More. Yes more.

Connecting in the CyBEARspace and beyond at Build-A-Bear Workshop Conference

I have a headache right now but no, that's not the reason why I'm attempting to write this post tonight. Thing is, I'm embarking on a road trip on Wednesday and I wanted to make sure you know where I'm going and why this blog may not be updated for a few days. Let's call it, my FYI post. Don't know what FYI is? Oh, It's an office lingo that I love to use which means For Your Information - which does sound a bit sassy, don't you think?

Just like Iron Chef and Chopped, we have a SECRET ingredient! Our secret ingredient which we decoded on Twitter is "cooler" which represent anything frozen or cold. Ok people, seriously, it's a tough one! But I'm pretty confident that this first recipe idea is brilliant! Presenting Rice Krispies Treats Ice Cream cup!

A Picnic to Remember

Inspite of the smoldering 98 degree weather, sweaty armpits and literally melting under the heat of the sun, the Hebrew National Better-than-a-picnic Picnic was by itself a hit! Not hugely attended as hoped - Thanks (nah!) to Taste of Charlotte Festival who corralled the majority of the Charlotte population that day - Nonetheless, it was F.U.N knowing we're also doing the event with a great cause for Charity! And like what a true (sweaty, sticky) entertainment host would say, the show must go on! And that we did...
