Charlotte's Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnic

Just today at work I was still writing May on all my reports! Wow, my brain can't keep up with how fast time is passing by. The great thing is, that means SUMMER FUN will be here soon. And what's one of the best things about summer? Of course, Picnics at the park!

And here's a PRE-SUMMER FUN PICNIC INVITE for you! Made possible by TheMotherhoodHebrew National Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnics is coming to Charlotte as part of it's nine location tour on the East Coast and I'm quite ecstatic to be co-hosting the event! I want you, your family and friends to be a part of this fun-filled picnic! It's an event you do not want to miss! Besides the great fun we have in store for you, we'll also have unlimited hotdogs which are 100% Kosher Beef with no nasty fillers or artificial flavors for you to munch on! How's that for a great picnic experience?! And yes, it is FREE!
And when you're there, come by and say "hello" to me and my fabulous co-hosts:  Brittany of Mommy Words, Julie of Mommie Cooks, Rebecca of Letters from Crazyville.

So, Come one, come all!  Below are the details of the Charlotte event:

You can bring kids, family, friends -- many other local bloggers and their kids will be there too!

AND MORE!
Enjoy great music, giant puzzles, a mechanical bull (yes, for real) and TONS of other activites for kids and families, too!

Here is our charitable goal for the picnic where we hope you can help us out. We will focus on an amazing organization, Birthday Blessings which provides birthday presents and birthday parties for homeless children.

Here's where we need you:
We ask that guests bring donations of new unwrapped gifts and party supplies. The greatest need is for teens and tweens. We will assemble birthday kits and make birthday cards for children to go along with the gifts.

Who is Birthday Blessings?
Birthday Blessings was founded in 2005 by Amy and John Cervantes of Charlotte, North Carolina. Their family service project was born from a desire to raise their children with a love and commitment for giving to others in need. What began as a monthly birthday party at one homeless shelter in 2005, has now grown into a thriving non-profit that operates three programs serving homeless children and families across multiple counties in the greater Charlotte region.

The goal of Birthday Blessings is to bring joy, recognition, and support to needy children and families during difficult and sad times in their lives. Our three core programs raise spirits and boost confidence for homeless children ages tots to teens, and offer help and hope to homeless parents and their babies.

Every year, Birthday Blessings makes a positive impact in the lives of thousands of needy youth and families across our greater Charlotte community. As an all-volunteer organization, our dedicated "staff" of volunteers are truly the heart of all that we do.

We sure hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me an email or leave a comment below.
