One rule in my house that I recently broke (hey, I ain't perfect!), is to NEVER, ever use chemically-laden household cleaner. In my defense, it was hard not to when I was given a product to review as part of my association with the brand. Yes, my bad! But promise, I only used it once just because. And I tell you, I will never use it again after it stung my eyes and made it difficult for me to breathe! -The harsh reality of using harmful chemicals.

Perfect Summer Craft - My Friendship Bracelet Maker Review and Giveaway
UPDATE: According to Random.org, our winner is number 26! Congrats to Stephanie for winning!!! And Thank you to all the fab peeps that entered. Check the rest of the giveaway ongoing right now.
When I was in high school, Friendship bracelets were a huge thing. I remember making a lot of them back then and how my sisters and I enjoyed making them to the despair of my mom. See, she's an embroiderer, so of course, have an abundance of various colored threads! And you know what that means for thread-thirsty kids who are keen in creating tons of friendship bracelets. Ah, those were good times...
Lucky for me, I get to relive those great memories and pass on the fun to my daughter without the complexity of making them. Back then, I used to put strands of thread together just to make one thick strand. I also use to pin the knotted end between my toes to hold it in place whenever I create my bracelets. How "barbaric" it have been back then! But thanks to the My Friendship Bracelet Maker. It made the whole process easy. My FBM is a kit which was recently a huge hit at the 2010 New York Toy show and is now available at Michael's and retails for $19.99.

Getting Clean and Out with the Dirty!
I'm going to come clean with you. I hate exercise! Sadly, it hates me back. I'm sure you know the end result to that. So what got into me doing 10 mins Yoga, 38 mins Dance Cardio Blast exercise then walking/running 5 miles in one day? Have I gone nuts!? NO. I was just on an all-time high. And no, it's not drug-related, so let's not even go there.
The truth is, I'm on an Xtreme mission to get rid of something as toxic as drugs itself! So let's talk dirty. No, not that kind of dirty.
Moving on.
Since the start of allergy season, I have been suffering relentlessly. Sneezing once is a mission impossible. Couple that with runny nose and itchy eyes. The whole nine yards. I've got them all. Then came the sore throat that seem to have mutated to a whole new condition totally unfamiliar to me. I started feeling like a golf ball is stuck in my throat! My food is not sinking in properly where it needs to go which makes eating a bear. It was like my body is rebelling against me! Certain foods starts to make me sick and I go through puking episodes.

Blogging about your kids : Are You Sure They're OK with that?

My daughter was trying her hands on a new product that I recently got for review and there I was photographing her away like a mad woman while she clumsily try to figure out how the thing works. At that moment, she started to speak. Words so softly spoken yet tore through my heart like a jagged knife.

Hot Shoes for a Hot Mama - Okab Shoes Review and Giveaway
According to Random.org, our lucky winner is (drum roll please).... Number 66! Tracy Iglesias- She wins her choice of Gabby - Camel w/ Faux Leather Chord and Bamboo Beads. Congratulations!!!
The weather is starting to warm up. Flip Flop season is almost here! The thought of it alone is making me excited! I love sandals and flip flops. Being born in a tropical country, they were part of my lifestyle and culturally integrated into our fashion styles. I wear them every chance I get - just ask my husband. I'm a hot diggity flip flop mama!

Last week, I finally got the chance to wear and flaunt one as I celebrated Mother's day eve with family. And what a delight it was to wear my new hot Okab Shoes flip flop! And why not? Oka b Shoes were featured in O Magazine, and Parade Magazine featured the Vivien, which is what I wore that day!
Oka b Shoes sent me the Vivien in Licorice w/ Licorice Tahitian Flower for review. A flip flop thong with mid-heel. It comes with another color - copper with pink Tahitian flower but I requested the black since it is my favorite color.

Motherhood is like a Chinese Dish
And so it is! What dish comes to your mind? To me, Motherhood is so much like the popular Chinese dish: Sweet and Sour. Part of it is sweet and half of it is sour! One which I recently experienced pre-Mother's day! I missed the huge Annual Mom's Nite out celebration on Thursday because I was stuck at home with daughter. Sour. Then I missed Pioneer Woman's book signing on Friday because she was running a fever. Sour-er. Un-fun.
But like Sweet and Sour, the sauce isn't complete until you add in the sweetness. Trust hubby to make it right. He brought home this little treat for me to signify that I can always enjoy a Girls Nite Out anytime even at home! Awwww...
Not my color but hey, it's the thought that counts. Sweet. Then he took me to my favorite Chinese restaurant for a family dinner and spent the rest of the day frolicking wherever my heart so desired to go! Sweet. And of course, the sweetness-e-sse-sses didn't end there...

When Time Stood Still...

I took this photo of the garden by the patio on a rainy, gloomy day which added a sense of mystique to the entire canvass. Like a scene from a classic love story, it invokes so many emotions. Emotions that speaks only to the heart...
