Dial® Diaries: My Skin Care Challenge - Week 3 Diary Entry

Just like Amy Hendel, I myself can't believe we're already on Week 3 of Dial Healthier You Members Program 4-week challenge. Time sure flies when you're having fun! Week 3 proves to be my favorite though. I'm a woman and admit it, if you're a woman, your skin is one of the things you're quite vain about besides your looks! So to me, having an effective skin care regimen that helps preserves my skin and keeping it healthy is a must!

In week 1, I mentioned that I regularly use a daytime moisturizer enriched with Vitamin C and SPF. I'm glad to know that I'm on the right track with Amy Hendel's skin care recommendations. You sure can't catch me leaving the house without applying that cream on my face! Or slathering moisturizing lotion all over my body after a warm shower in the morning before heading off to work.

Below chronicles what I do to take care of my skin 
and what I've done for week 3!



Amy Hendel advised applying moisturizer while your skin is still damp or after getting out of the shower. A great way to lock in moisture which is a crucial key during these cold months! Before, I used to make sure I'm thoroughly dry before I apply lotion all over my body not realizing this is not the right way. Now I know better! It has always been my habit to apply lotion on my skin after taking a shower since my skin has a tendency of being dry which gets worst during winter and Amy's recommendation surely reinforced this habit! For added hydration besides hot green tea and water, I've also relied on eating more sweet oranges which is also a natural source of vitamin C. Yum!
Some of the skin care routine I already have in place is that I religiously wash my face before going to bed to make sure I remove all make-up and dirt residue on my face then I apply nighttime facial moisturizers to protect it from drying up overnight which can get nasty due to the dry air of the season and the heat from the heaters. I also apply lip balms on my lips to help protect it from these elements or I suffer from cracked lips the next morning. Ouch!

And as I have also mentioned during week 1 Dial® NutriSkin™ body wash has become a regular part of my daily skin care regimen. Can't shower without it! But OMG I can't believe this challenge is almost over. Looking forward to week 4!

  1. Wow you are doing a great job! That's dedication. This time of year does do a number on our skin and sounds like you're doing the right things. Hope you can make it to our party Thurs for more great tips on keeping skin healthy and you can share yours too!
