Disney's D23 Expo, a three-day Disney Fan event held at Anaheim Convention Center in California, a short walk from Disneyland, was by itself a paradigm of fun and adventure! So much so, that throngs of Disney fans and geeks, both young and old, patronized the event like it was the infamous park itself...but
more.
I covered the event on it's 3rd day. Attending as a media representative for my blog as part of the invitation extended by Disney. And being a Disney Fan myself and being in California at the time of the event, it was an offer hard to resist. I went...just like what most attendees did...with their family!
The third day wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Normally, on the third day of an event, excitement seem to fizzle down, but I was wrong. There was still a tremendous number of event-goers in attendance. Mostly came with families and children as young as babies.
This was the magic of Disney! And when I say magic, the abundance of
free Disney merchandises given away to event-goers was a brilliant concept to draw more people to the expo. For an attendee, Disney geek or not, it was like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow... simply,
jackpot!

Though I missed the awesome fun of the initial two days of the expo, third day didn't totally disappoint. The main cast of
Shake it Up including
Bella Thorne, Zendaya, Davis Cleveland, Roshon Fegan, enliven the last day, much to the satisfaction of their screaming and entranced young fans! And for the younger bunch,
Phineas and Ferb's Perry-Oke was a great hit! It was a treat for Karaoke enthusiasts like my daughter who had a blast singing along. Then, there's the Platy-bus which made for a great gaming hang-out too.
Over-all the event was a distinct indication of how influential Disney really is, and how much impact it have on every American family in the US. It is indeed a household name that will not be forgotten in a long time.
This expo, says it all. Disney is a force to be reckoned with! And of course,
a lot of you already know that!
But not this one! Disney announced and displayed at the expo a new theme park in....Shanghai, China!
According to the representative in that booth, "we recently broke ground a few months ago and is projected to finish and open the park in 5 years". The park looked bigger than Florida. I can't wait to see how it looks like when it's done. One thing is for sure though, Disney is bringing the same magic to that part of the world!

That is so awesome you got to go! We are all Disney fans here & I miss it so much. And how exciting that they are in the process of building another Disney Land. Can't wait to see pics of what it looks like when it's done.
