North Carolina is a melting pot of different culinary style and flavor. To Truly experience the unique taste of the Carolinas, one needs to partake in a culinary feast to sample each flavor from the different regions of the state. Now you don't need to travel across the state just to achieve this. Carowinds gathered the flavors together and put them in one location so you don't have to go too far at their Taste of The Carolinas Food Festival.
Sample the unique tastes from seven Carolina regions:
- Asheville/Mountain Region
- Upstate South Carolina Region
- Lowcountry Region - or most southern, part of South Carolina
- South Carolina Barbecue Region
- Outer Banks Region
- Lexington Barbecue Region
- Charleston Region

Get a Taste before it's all gone
Taste of the Carolinas ends on May 1 and is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 2 hours before park closes. For beer and wine lovers, tastings are also available by schedule. Though there's a beer and wine booth available for immediate purchase at the fest. The booths are located next to Harmony Hall.
To help you plan your day at the fest, you can download the event guide here. And for more information on the festival, visit the event link here.
We received a media invite to the event. Carowinds provided park tickets and tokens. Though I must mention that we personally bought an additional maximum amount of tokens available to maximize our sampling experience. All opinions are ours and based solely on our personal experience at the event, unless otherwise stated.
