A Taste of Japan's Harajuku Fashion Via A Harajuku Panda From Build-A-Bear Workshop (Review and Giveaway)


I should tell you now that in this house of mine, Japan and anything Japanese is a big deal to us. It's partly my father's fault. I'm quarter Japanese. True confession. Nonetheless, we're simply hooked on anything  "Japan-y". Why wouldn't we? Japan is renown for so many things unique! It's the birthplace of anime and fashion so out of this world, cute won't even begin to describe it. Beyond cute like Hello Kitty, Pokemon... and then there's Harajuku! 

Harajuku is a well-known place in Japan and is also a fashion capital of the world, renowned for its unique street fashion. This is the inspiration behind the new Harajuku Hugs Panda at Build-A-Bear Workshop with its own unique Harajuku outfits that can be mix and matched to suit anyone's taste and style.

I received a fully clothed Harajuku Hugs Panda from Build-A-Bear Workshop®  and my oh my, I was floored. This Panda was totally stylin'! Its overall appearance says nothing but "I'm fabulously cute!" And it sure is.

  • I simply love its heart-shaped eyes! The pattern and embroidery work is impeccable.
  • I adore its pretty outfit. If they have that in my size, I would totally wear it even the cute undies!
  • I can't get enough of its smiling face! Simply sweet and adorable.
  • I would highly recommend this as a perfect gift for your little, or grown-up, fashionistas any time of the day!


This Harajuku Hugs Panda sure lives up to its name. Besides being fashionably cute, it sure is a magnet for hugs!

    The panda is adorable! Love it. I also like the Year of the Snake snake. Something about it makes me smile- the tuft of hair, the tongue sticking out.

    Uh-oh, I know what E is going to want for Valentine's Day! Love those big heart eyes. Actually, I think the next BABW animal she gets might be the Girl Scout Bear coming out. We might take our Daisy troop there and use our Cookie Money for a Bridging to Brownies/end of the year treat.
