The precious water from the past |
How would you feel if you just became a part of a momentous history in the most magical place on earth? One thing I can tell you, it's beyond words! Or to quote the one word that was heard repeatedly at that very unforgettable moment, it was "Ah-mazing!" with a big emphasis on the "Ah!".
Yes, it was.
One of DisneyWorld's New Fantasyland's great attractions is the new Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid which was the former location of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and of which closed in 1994. Now before it was dismantled, Disney's Imagineers saved some of the attraction's water in carefully labeled bottles and kept them safe at their Florida headquarters for the past 18 years!
Yes, 18 years!
But at that momentous day on October 23, 2012, for the first time, it was opened and was poured in special glass containers which was then handed to each of us. Led by Disney's Imagineer Chris Kelly, we made it in DisneyWorld's rich history when we altogether poured that water down into the stream and returned a piece of the past to New Fantasyland!
We, who were part of a privileged few, that took take part in this wonderful undertaking are now forever etched in the magical world and astounding history, that is of Disney!
And as for me, it's just one of those things, you will never ever forget and will forever be proud to have been a part of!
Simply Ah-mazing! Only at Disney.

I think this was the best moment of the event. But, the entire time was outstanding!
ReplyDeleteI think this sounds amazing! I love all of the tradition that Disney incorporates into everything it does! It looks like you all had a great time... I can't wait to see the new Fantasyland!
