I can't be any happier that Christmas is over. That the controversial Ho Ho guy is none to be seen and is now but a figment of our imaginations. I'm sure everyone's stress level is now at a bare minimum {Thank God}. My hormones can settle down a bit! And maybe everyone will stop asking me like a broken record, what I got for Christmas or what "He" {imaginary friend or foe?} brought me. I'm just happy that Christmas is now but a thing in the past. We all had our share of fun but now, I can go back to the normalcy of life. And with that it means, this:
Borrowing a line from
The Velveteen Rabbit ..."
one night, mama stretched out her arms and declared that Sunday will be folding thousands of clothes day"...
ah, See you in 10 years... Where you would say:
"You look just like my old bloggy friend that was lost under thousands and thousand piles of clothes!"
oh don't remind me that I have a full basket of kiddo clothes to fold. LOL Happy New Year to you also
ReplyDeleteLOL, I'm right there with you. Glad to be done with Christmas and dreading tackling my post-holiday kitchen. Its a scary place. I will not mention laundry... ah heck, I'm going back to bed! =)
ReplyDeletewe're still in holiday mode around here - and will be until the kiddo goes back to school next monday. its nice not to have much to do for another week!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I am putting off folding clothes right now by catching up on blog reading! :)
ReplyDeleteJust make sure you organize them all by color, size and owner before you are threw! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteGah, I hate laundry! The quote from The Velveteen Rabit is too cute. I love that story.
ReplyDeleteI have a boatload of laundry to get through as well. I have been putting it off as long as possible, but we are running out of room for the dirty clothes. I hope you got through all of it.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaaaaaaah... but I will miss all the Christmas decor! The house looks bare without all the festivities for a few days... sigh!
ReplyDeleteI totally did six loads of laundry yesterday. It will only be two days away from more of the same. Can I have my own wife for a week?
ReplyDeleteFolding clothes - do we HAVE to do that?
ReplyDeleteArrrrrgh! I hate that!
I hear you - it's ironing thousands of clothes day around here at the moment - ACK!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
XO
Anna
I've got lots of clothes to fold and put away, too. Naturally...I am avoiding it. :) Christmas was fun, but all that hustle and bustle makes it tiring. Good luck with those clothes.
ReplyDeletei hate laundry! (perhaps that's why my husband does it now?)
ReplyDeletei'm glad as well, that the holidays are over. i'm ready to get back to normal times and not overly crowded shopping areas...
I too am glad that Christmas is over. Enough already!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and family the best of Seasons greetings and a very happy new year, best regards, Lee.
ReplyDeletefeel kinda the same way --Oh and thanks so much for you kind comment on my post about the latent customer service!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family, Maricris! Despite the crisis of 2008, we survived and we will in the coming years, too.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh..the clothes pile never goes away..I tell you..it stalks me and mocks me and I try to ignore it but it gets bigger and bigger! Today it is gone though..my son did the whole pile! usually he does a load or two..but he did it all! For now it's gone..but just a couple days and it will be back!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooooooo glad it is over to..the new year is here and things are trying to get back to normal...
