Security Blanket

MABUHAY ! In the Philippine Islands, Siesta is a big part of each day. A time to take a break, nap or just unwind. It's but a lazy moment...

As you know, I have been an emotional wreck the past few days braving the storm and during these times, I started carrying a little note of prayer in my pocket which I would feel every time I'm feeling sad. It has become my little "security blanket" which inspired this question today:

What is your "security blanket" when you're feeling blue or lost ?

Come and siesta with me! You can find the Siesta Saturday Image in my side bar.

  2. Would love to join! For me - that would be one of two things:

    1) My notebook - for any type of journaling
    2) My prayer journal - helping me remember favorite scriptures, and helping me define my prayers

  4. I will keep your family in my prayers. I am sorry that you are having to face a job layoff. I hope that he will find another job quickly, and maybe it will be even better than the one he had.

  5. Hi Maricris!

I'd have to say comfort food is my security blanket. I would love to say Music is number one, but food is.

  6. Thanks for inviting me to the Siesta =).

I think my security blanket is "writing". When I am down, I write it out and get out all of the feelings that I am holding inside, then read it a couple of days later and I usually end up feeling silly by the fact that I let whatever it was get me down in the first place =)

  7. My security blanket is my faith in God and what he tells me in his letter of instructions to us... the bible. That he promises in it that things aren't always gonna be this bad and also the explaination I find in the bible as to the reason why things are this way. It's very comforting to understand that, so I feel a sense of security amidst all the chaos in life.

  8. I am really sorry about your time of crisis. That is a very stressful thing to happen. My security blanket is a little book of quotes that I have had for over 15 years. It is amazing how it has gotten me through things that I never thought it could.

  12. I hope it's not late for my security blanket. I forgot this as I was carried away by your emotions poured on your previous post. Anyway, my security blanket is solitude.
