Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Not Your Typical Mom Phone

Personalized the Note to reflect "me"
Disclosure: I'm a Verizon Wireless Voices SE Ambassador and received this phone as part of the program. All opinion you read in this post is mine unless I say otherwise. I'm a Tech Geek and testing new gadgets are my cup of tea - or coffee if you knew me!

All about the Note
The Note 3 have been making a lot of raves and waves in the mobile phone arena lately. Thanks to its more advanced S Note technology, Geeks such as I, can't wait to discover its wonders and rich features. Lucky for me, I recently received the Note 3 and I'm currently giving it the test of its life.

First impressions
The Note 3 is unmistakably huge. For a gal like me with small hands, this phone is a challenge to hold. By sheer appearance, it looks like a tablet. It's safe to say, it's like a crossover between a tablet and a phone. Shall I call it a tabphone?

One impressive bit about this phone is that it is very lightweight at 5.93 oz. considering it's size at 5.95"x3.12" and slim at only 0.33" in depth. Skinny comes to mind and rightly so. I do LOVE its 5.7" Full HD Super AMOLED® touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. This is almost like watching on a TV with the same specifications. Now that is impressive!

Cool features
I love the camera feature of the Note 3. It takes a picture on both the front and back at the same time. First phone I've ever had that does this. And with its 13MP camera resolution on the rear and 2MP on the front, pictures look crisp and stunning. I also like it's Smart Stabilization features, where it automatically adjust brightness when taking pictures in a dark setting. Works great when taking random pictures!

The S note technology is by far worthy of praise. It's very responsive and almost feel like you're writing on a physical notebook though better. I have yet to give it the child test and see how it fares with her doodles.

Recommendation
This phone is great for the multitasker but one I would be afraid to have around small children. It looks quite fragile and unlike smaller counterparts, this phone is not something you can easily shove inside your momjeans! I can do well with this phone for work-related uses and staying productive while on the go but certainly not a regular phone I can carry with me doing domestic errands with the children! Though I would like you to try. Let me know how it goes.
