Shop For The Cure

I'm seeing Pink again!
Nope, like I already said last time, I'm NOT dating Pink the singer nor do I have Pink-eye! It's just that PINK has dominated my world again and this time its' a whole new experience...

I will be a part of the juried Craft show hosted by Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Arts and Craft Show titled Pink at the Plaza SHOP FOR THE CURE on May 2nd, saturday from 10am to 3pm. And if you can't tell, I'm actually very excited and very honored to be a part of something this big with a huge cause!

As you have guessed, besides filling-in special orders and such, this is the main reason I have not been spotted in and around the blog scene nor in the blog-mixer crowd for the past few weeks. I have taken liberty in spending most of the time creating unique pieces for the show and prepping for it. I wanted to be able to have enough to sell and enough to generate sales to donate to the cause. Part of the guidelines of the show is for vendors to donate at least 10% of their sales to the Breast Cancer Foundation which I'm more than happy to oblige to.

Making a difference no matter how small in way of my creations is my goal for this show. I'm hopeful...one creation at a time...

"I also want to say a shout out to all of you who had been loyal to this blog inspite the absence of reciprocal visits and comments to yours. Be known that your support and kindness means a lot to me and that you are a part of all my adventures and successes!"

If you are in Charlotte NC, come and say Hi to me at the show. It will be at The Promenade by Providence.

Address : 5335 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy
Charlotte, NC 28277

I'll see you there...Also, if you want to be a part of this cause via online, all purchases in my online store Golden Flower Creations on May 2 will be included. Be a part of something big just by buying products you love...

My deepest thanks in advance! And as soon as the "craziness" has passed, I shall yet to visit all of you back again. Till then...

Easter Bunny came to Party !

My little Sasserfrass {who is no longer little - thank heavens!} celebrated her 5th birthday on Easter weekend. AND like every year, she integrates her own definitive chosen theme for each birthday parties she have {very assertive indeed! She may be the next Trump! you're fired! } - Well, it's her party after all, so might as well let her have her way! Less argument, less stress. Everyone happy. Agree mon ami ?

Last year was Princess Party. This year she went from Shrek to Bunny! Don't ask me why Shrek! I'm just happy she settled with Bunny. Perfect choice if I must say. Le' Decor and favors abounds. No sweat! I was happy.

Best of all, Easter Bunny came to visit her during the party!

Oooh what a delight it was. The look in the face of my little Sasserfrass was Priceless!

And of course, her birthday cake was one to beat! Courtesy of Papa Bunny!

His best Creation so far!
Everyone loved it.

And the highlight of the party?
Bunnies opening gifts!

What a wonderful way of celebrating a birthday and Easter all in one day! With a lovely treat of having the Easter Bunny partying with us all.

Hope your Easter was as wonderful as ours...

I'm crossing my fingers for next year. My baby is no longer a baby but it's all good! It's a wonderful {though sometimes a painful} journey through parenthood... oh joy! {and grey hairs!}

Making a Difference

When I see a great story or a selfless act that touches the core of my inner being or speaks to my heart, I want to highlight them and draw inspiration from it.

A new segment of Nightly news with Brian Williams, Making A Difference is one deserving of recognition. It has made such an impact not only on me but to a lot of viewers. It is truly inspiring that during this tough economic times, great deeds and selfless giving still abounds and has not been altered but more so encouraged more philanthropist at heart to give unconditionally... Human saga at its' best!

We all have a giving heart but giving doesn't always mean monetary. This is me. I don't have the luxury of money to give but I have something useful to give which is so a part of ME. Long, black and thick. My hair! My little way of making a difference... Bringing a little happiness to the kids of Locks of Love with a 10 inch worth of my hair!

This is my 2nd year of giving.

Who is turning 5 years old this April. I'm quite blessed to have a healthy child. I wish all the kids in the world are healthy but like the kids of Locks of Love, they're NOT. As part of my Pledge of Gratitude, I'll continue donating my hair for as long as I can.

Then all this month, 10% of each sales of my shop Golden Flower Creations, will get donated to the cause. I hope to be able to raise $250 or more. Please help me reach it. Your pledge of $2 or more will go a long way!

Please join me in helping these kids.
I know I'll get by with a little help from my bloggy friends...

My utmost gratitude is yours...
